I think the main positive intention behind the judgment is to validate my ego, to protect it. There’s a strong identification with myself as an individual in competition with or comparison against others, and whether the judgment I form tells a story of inadequacy or righteousness, its meant to strengthen that false sense of separation between myself and other upon which our society is based. In this way, it keeps me “safe” and in a way answers a need for belonging.
Yes, great awareness of your pattern. And I know that who you really are is the Authentic Self. This pattern keeps you from being your Authentic Self. Any objects to being your Authentic Self that you could think of?
The positive intention of my self-judgement is to keep my self on the achieving end of life, so says my ego.
Might you still be able to achieve without self-judgment? Is it possible to achieve more with non-judgment? Would you enjoy achievement more without judgment. I’ve clearly got lots of curiosity here.
for sure !! I am just more in tune with the old tape that says you r not good enough keep going to be better!!! 🙁
I think one of the positive intentions of my self-judgement is keeping me safe from the discomfort of change. And the discomfort of success, risk of failure. In general I think the positive intention is keeping me safe from perceived discomfort.
