I am so stoked today. As I have been sitting here contemplating my recovery coaching and what that means, I realized that even though my niche is helping women in recovery that are dealing with grief, I have the opportunity to help anyone that is dealing with grief. I plan to be very focused on learning more about the grief process itself and finding the tools that can be used to assist someone in mourning. I feel a bit anxious about this because I have some unhealed grief and know the process will lead me down the path of healing, but can bring up so much pain. I plan to be very gentle with myself and pay attention to what is going on with me so I don’t relapse or fall into depression. I am so thankful to be in the group as I know so much support can be found here as I make this journey of grief recovery while I am already in recovery from alcohol use disorder.
You are fully loved and lifted here Roxane. I’m glad to hear you saying you will be gentle with ourselves. When we intend to coach others, it’s essential that we continue to do our own inner work so you are well on your way there.
I have learned so much from you Beverly and doing our inner work is one of them. This will make it possible to really help others.
I even found this certification course called ‘Grief Recovery Method’ that certifies people to help grievers recover from loss. They have a class in October in San Diego. So hope to go, but of course there is a cost. 🙂
Very cool!
Beautiful!
Thanks Jane! <3
