Hi Everyone. I am new to the Recovery Life Lab. I am 6 years in recovery from alcohol use. I used alcohol to cope with grief from losing my husband. Once I became sober, I had to deal with the grief in early recovery. I found that aftercare is seriously lacking for people after treatment. For that reason, as well as many others, I took a course and now have a recovery coaching certification. I am in the process of starting my own coaching business. Because of my experience my main focus will be on women in recovery that are dealing with grief.

    • Welcome to the Recovery Life Lab Roxane! I look forward to hearing your insights.

    • Welcome Roxane! Glad to have you here. Your work sounds interesting. 🙂

    • Hey Roxanne! I assumed you were here because of the Traction Challenge. Welcome! You will learn a lot here. I have only been here a month and this is a wonderful place for education and support. This is what I have been looking for – something specific for recovery as recovery coaching is unique from other types of coaching! Catch up the lessons from the past months. It is worth it!

    • Welcome Roxane! Glad you joined!

    • I love the work you are doing Roxane. Having worked in treatment, we only scratch the surface of loss and grief people have experienced in life that lead to substance use. Creating some type of program or package for those needing to continue that work would be incredible. You could even partner with treatment facilities, sober livings, therapists, psychiatrists and other grief workers. So glad to have you here!

      • Hi Beverly, I am excited to be here and to have finally pinpointed my recovery edge! I am really looking forward to exploring ways to better my journey of recovery and creating offers for others that will help them on theirs.

    • So nice to have you here!! What an excellent idea re: your business!!! I look forward to getting to know you better. Love and light to you today! xo

      • Hi Misty. Thank you. I am so glad to be here with so many like minded people. I look forward to learning more about yours and sharing mine with everyone.
