I continue to work the ownership process around my situation at work. I’m finding that I have to go through the process multiple times a day because I keep going back to “she makes me feel horrible”. I talk myself through the process, realize I’m coming from victim consciousness then refrain my thoughts to create my path forward. Needless to say, I’m getting lots of practice with this tool!!!
The truth is that this tool takes LOTS of practice. There are so many things happening through out the day that could lead to victim consciousness: traffic, relationships, work, kids…any experience really. That’s the learning. Do you want to be in victim consciousness or do you want to choose peace of mind? Knowing that there is this choice becomes liberating because the more you practice the easier it becomes to choose. Keep sending love to that part of you that feels horrible. That’s the piece that needs your love and attention. Eventually that piece becomes healed and you don’t need to use experiences in your life to feed that piece.
