It’s interesting when you decide to change, what spiritual curriculum, comes up. I over stepped my boundaries last Sunday with my oldest Son. He was trying to make a simple decision and I told him 3 times what an option was because it was a better deal. He told me that he could make his own decisions. This happened on Sunday. On Tuesday, I realized that I needed to take 100 % responsibility for my actions. So during his break from teaching, I asked him to call me. I confess my boundary violation and told him that I trust his ability to make his own decisions and that I was truly sorry for butting in. He accepted my ownership of my behavior. Later that afternoon I wrote a post on how confession is good for the soul. That I can course correct when needed. I also wrote about how non violent communication states that judgement and punishment uses fear, guilt and shame to try to change someone. But its not real change that is life giving. It ‘s just the pride of thinking one is superior. I have experienced this internally and externally. So my RLL life lessons are playing out before me. I can take ownership of my life and I can look at this “curriculum” as an opportunity for growth. Spiritual Lesson #5. Simply here today to ” show my work” so I don’t process skip and say that I am further along than I really am. The process IS the gift.

    • I really appreciate your ownership. There truly is so much freedom in personal responsibility for ourselves and those around us. Curriculum is everywhere and once we start using it to resolve what’s unresolved, our path clears and the load is lightened. I love that you get spiritual bypass and the importance of being with the work versus skipping over it. You are truly wise Tami and I’m happy to have you in this environment where your skills can be encouraged and strengthened.

    • This is awesome! I can relate on both sides. Thanks for sharing.
