I listened to yesterday’s call this morning. I’ve let myself get so far away from so much of my practice this past month or so and I am really feeling and seeing the effects….Surprisingly my physical practice has been strong since I went back to work because I put that in place with the first day of school, and my sleep practice has been self-honoring I would say. But so many other areas have been lacking or avoided. I’m coming up on 2 years of sobriety from alcohol this month, and I am so grateful, but I can see why I need a daily practice no matter what. I’ve let this food addiction grow and fester and really get in the way of living. It was there before the alcohol took over and it came right back when I stopped drinking. I know it’s time to address that and build a stronger recovery practice. Not sure what that looks like yet, but I’ll be checking in here a lot more often, I know that.

    • Jane, I appreciate you looking at this and being honest with yourself. You are so right…things can slide with a quickness. It is great that you have maintained aspects of your practice.
So what might a healthier relationship to food look like in the next month? Encouraging you to not think optimally here but a baby step. One change you could make that you know would help…like meal planning, meal prepping, cutting something out. When we try to overhaul everything, we think black and white with our nutrition. Would love to hear what you come up with!

      • I didn’t realize you had been posting the worthiness within course weeks and I watched week 1 finally, the elimination exercise of course right away I thought of this. There are a lot of things I could eliminate related to food. Unhealthy foods and unhealthy behaviors around food/compulsive eating. Ugh. But I know the behavior that I most need eliminate is eating fast food.

        • Yes, I’ve been posting Worthiness Is Within each week in here while providing it to those who signed up. Extra little perk for you guys in RLL. I will be posting the full course when it’s complete under the Library Tab so you can check it out in its entirety there. I’m working on elimination too as I have a new project I’m focusing on. Elimination is a great way to keep letting go and making room for more of what we truly want! Less fast food and more nutrition or better feeling thoughts about ourselves for healthier choices.
