I was out of town at a collaborative! How is everyone doing? FYI, that we have our call next Tuesday! Looking forward to checking and sharing more about Spiritual Psychology!

    • Doing well! I adopted a dog this past weekend. Stevie. I had seen him get rehomed twice before through a local rescue I follow and unfortunately he was given up again. He has special needs, kind of like doggie cerebral palsy and my house is perfect for him. I went through all kinds of emotions, grieving the dog I lost last year and doubting myself. It was a great opportunity to feel my feelings and look at what was underneath some of them and come out the other side. Stevie’s settled right in, and truthfully even after two days I can see he’s just a big goofy yellow lab. He really doesn’t need to be treated any differently and I’m so glad I have him.

      • This is amazing. I honor you for moving through your grief, opening your heart and being of service in this way. It’s always for us as well! Jane, I love hearing your process and experiencing your growth. You have such a beautiful heart. Richard and I are working towards having a rescue one day (prob in the next 5 years). We’ve discussed starting to focus animals now and will most likely start to take in animals in the next 6 months. Love hearing you open your heart in this way! Right there with you.

        • Thank you Bev. I really experienced it differently this time. Like this was the first time I consciously went through the process of Ok what am I feeling, what is this bumping into, and allowing it all. I went through grief, guilt, and it was so hard. But I feel so much lighter now and clearer than if I had tried to stuff it, numb it, and ignore it.

I’m sooo excited for you and Richard!! My friend and I always talk about having a rescue for senior dogs. Keep me posted, I would love to help and support yours in any way I can! Do you follow Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary on Facebook? They are amazing and it’s so fun to follow all of the dogs and their personalities…

          • I find going through life experiences consciously so freeing. Yes, we feel it all but there is so much grace in the learning. I just went to the FB page and liked it. I’ve been wanting to learn more about how a non-profit is run. This is kind of my big Passion Project that is unfolding over the years. Staring with one dog to now 3, considering foster dogs and eventually we would like to buy land here and have a rescue. My husband likes to work with dominant and aggressive dogs that most people can’t or don’t want to handle. He has a kinship with those animals as that’s how he has been perceived in his life as well. I’m excited for this all to unfold. I find it all about the loving, loving myself more and sharing that love with the world. In this case, with animals. Thanks for connecting on this with me.

      • How are you and your new friend doing?!

        • Good! He’s made himself right at home, and I am feeling much less emotional than last week. He’s sweet and goofy and he helps me remember to look for the learning in a lot of situations. Taking him to his first appointment with the vet tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to any advice she has on his condition and making sure he has everything he needs. But other than that, he’s a typical 3 year old yellow lab, I keep finding my shoes in mysterious places…lol

    • Also, sorry I won’t make the call today! I’m bummed, but I have a work meeting I can’t get out of.
