Interesting! I think this is the hardest part for me. Fear of the unknown, fear of letting go of control, lack of trust…It feels like standing on the edge of a fun bungee jump or something. Like I want to love the feeling and trust that it will be awesome, but I’m terrified to jump. Sure shows me where I have resistance and areas that need attention! Thanks for sharing!
How might your life look different if you trusted and let go more?
What comes to mind is bigger risk, bigger reward. Like there would be failures but also successes & joyful moments that right now I’m keeping out by trying to avoid the risks & pain. I know I’m definitely doing this in the area of relationships. Yikes…ok going to crack this heart open again…Time to uplevel.
One of my favorite paradigms is that there’s no such thing as failure, only feedback. This changes how we look at it. We have to be willing to have the reward of the process, of learning and growing. If we remain afraid of the judgment then we stay stuck. You know how to work with the thoughts now, practicing neutrality, self-forgiveness, self-compassion, different perspective, etc. Love your willingness to look and challenge your up-level.
Yeah even as I was typing that, I thought to myself the “failures” are just opportunities to learn. I’m going to post that paradigm somewhere I can see it everyday. I do now appreciate the reward of the process more so than before.
That’s the big shift, viewing the reward of the process over the fear of self-judgment around failure. It’s truly about asking yourself, “What am I most committed to?”
