Finally caught up on the self-dialogue and the positive intention call. I did a self-dialogue with sadness and depression, which was great because it allowed me to view them as two separate processes and see the positive intention of both. Sadness told me I can trust that it’ll leave when I let myself feel it and let it move through me and depression told me it’s a reminder to stay in the moment and check-in with gratitude. The positive intention tool is a great way for me to pause and check-in with what an emotion or behavior is showing me instead of just having a knee-jerk reaction and then doing something I’ll regret. I also like using it to look at someone else’s behavior like Wes said on the call. Good stuff!
You got some wonderful guidance from your emotions. Make sure to listen to their feedback and implement because it will support you lessen both. I too enjoy knowing that people have a positive intention in their behaviors. It particularly helps when I’m interacting with my mom:) This will be a great tool for the holidays!
