I had 4 different interactions with different people today. A few were planned, the others, unexpected. I connected with curiousity in all of these interactions. And I love what came out of it. The quality of curiousity left no room for judgment. Because I simply became curious about the judgment. And when I do that, it dissolves. One of the interactions was with a retired coworker who, as it turns out, lives 2 streets away from me. What’s interesting about this coworker is that I had always felt intimidated by his personality, but he greeted me warmly upon first recognizing me today (I would’ve walked by him without recognition had he not said something). Anyway, I responded from a place of confidence and worthiness that felt welcoming. We exchanged contact info and made plans to meet one of these days. Also ended up pseudo coaching two others, one scheduled, one impromptu and allowed myself to be happy with just holding space authentically as my best self. The judgment took care of itself. Love this shift.
This is the experience of not just understanding the concept of curiosity intellectually but embodying curiosity.
