So happy for you Misty! Thanks for sharing. It sounds like your whirlwind month is a good one.

This past weekend I completed 2 of the de-cluttering tasks I committed to and made good progress on the third. I cleaned my vehicle inside and out. I also finished cleaning out clothes and dropped a couple of bags of clothes off at Goodwill. I’ve always been one to cLear out clutter but this was the first time I used cleaning to consciously let…[Read more]

    • You can see how powerful intention is versus just doing to do. The mind is a powerful tool. I love learning how to work with it:) You can see incredible results from living more conscious and intentional. Great job Stephanie!

I like this! I’ve been wondering how to consciously unload things and this simple tool could be the key for me. I love having the choice and coming at things from the perspective of creator. Thanks for this prompt. I’m maybe a day late, but going to do this today.

Holy heck, what an awesome day! Happy for you that you’ve made so much progress.

I think emotions get tied to clothing because of the memories associated with that outfit or article of clothing. I had this dress that had a very clear, unpleasant memory attached to it. I finally got rid of it so I don’t have to worry about reliving that moment each time I see the dress. I can move past that memory and free up space. It feels so…[Read more]

    • I know exactly what you mean Stephanie. I saw a picture of myself the other day from a few years ago and the outfit I was wearing brought up a flood of emotion. It was a good opportunity to let go and leave it in the past. Definitely liberating.

I switched out my seasonal clothes and cleaned out while I was at it. It’s amazing to realize how much emotion I had tied to some articles of clothing. And it feels very liberating to send these things to Goodwill!!!

    • Could you give us an example of having emotion tied to clothing?

I think I’ve settled on my 3 internal and external clutter areas… external clutter: 1. Clean my car, 2. Clean out closet and switch out seasonal clothes, and 3. Spring clean front yard flower beds. As far as internal clutter: 1. Finally letting go of my fear of abandonment, 2. Acceptance of a few experiences in my childhood, and 3. Finally let…[Read more]

    • This is fantastic! Just the intention to “finally” let go of these things can be freeing. I tell myself, “I’m making peace with my past.” These are great things to complete.

Oh that darned Tupperware, always a disorganized mess at my house.

  • Stephanie posted a new activity comment 8 years ago

I think I’ve historically reacted from a place of fear. Whether it be fear of abandonment, fear of looking inadequate or stupid, or fear of whatever else. I never thought that I did, but now I’m starting the see that I’ve always come from a place of victim instead of creator.

    • Now you know that this part of you that feels fearful and wants to protect you just needs to be healed and loved. And that process depends on you being the creator! This one awareness and application can be life changing.

I watched this month’s webinar replay. I really love this concept that I CAN finish unfinished business. I’ve always been in tune with the fact that when my outside world is cluttered so is my mind, but I’m excited to learn the skill of completion to clear the internal and external simultaneously.

    • Awesome Stephanie! I too love the idea of completion. I think it’s really important, especially when it comes to recovery of any kind. I find it positive and helpful to think that I can complete issues for stay in perpetual suffering around them.

This is great insight Wes. I had an issue earlier in the week that I was very upset about. I made the effort and tried to remove the judgement from what I was feeling and stay in the present moment. It was such a strange sensation and my mind kept wanting to go back to feeling bad. It felt like I was cheating myself by letting go of the upset and…[Read more]

And that’s supposed to say I’m going to listen to the WEBINAR 🙂

  • Stephanie posted an update 8 years ago

Wow, it’s been too long between check-ins for me. I still have to listen to the weiner for April, so I’m going to commit to doing that this weekend. As far as cleaning my living environment…. now we’re talking! I am the opposite of a pack rat and love to organize. Ideas for cleaning up my living environment for me include cleaning out my closet…[Read more]

I really like getting curious… what is the lesson in the situation. All life is for learning…. that’s definitely been a big takeaway for me.

I continue to work the ownership process around my situation at work. I’m finding that I have to go through the process multiple times a day because I keep going back to “she makes me feel horrible”. I talk myself through the process, realize I’m coming from victim consciousness then refrain my thoughts to create my path forward. Needless to say,…[Read more]

    • The truth is that this tool takes LOTS of practice. There are so many things happening through out the day that could lead to victim consciousness: traffic, relationships, work, kids…any experience really. That’s the learning. Do you want to be in victim consciousness or do you want to choose peace of mind? Knowing that there is this choice…[Read more]

    • Good for you Stephanie, so inspiring to read how willing you are to work through it!

My favorite sentence is a long one 🙂 I exhibit behaviors that demonstrate spiritual growth: I am more conscious and mindful, I am more patient with and compassionate to myself and others, I have an ever increasing recognition of my ego and course correct as soon as possible, and I stay grounded and in control of my emotions.

  • Stephanie posted an update 8 years, 1 month ago

I’ve been making good progress with the issue I identified during the Q&A. I’m finding that the negative feelings I have about the situation aren’t serving me and I’m trying to get some space from those negative thoughts. Basically when I talked about the situation I realized I’m coming at it from victim mode. Now I’m taking ownership of my…[Read more]

    • Beautiful shift from victim to creator consciousness. Took me a long time to realize my self worth couldn’t be earned or bestowed upon me by others. Loving the process of owning it, forgetting it, and eventually reclaiming it and owning it all over again. And repeating that over and over until the forgetting part is hopefully no longer…[Read more]
