Just checking in and saying hello to everyone. I hope to be on the next call and as many as I can for the rest of the summer. Currently working on what Beverly spoke of in the last call: Listening without judging and taking it personal. Have a great week!

Thanks for the replay. I was on vacation last week. Definitely can relate to many things and especially thinking I am taking ownership, yet not truly taking ownership. I did this for many years by going from person to person in a codependent type of “dance” and hoping that they would be the one person to guide me and give me the answers. I was…[Read more]

I’ve been working on painting some flowers on a tin bucket for my mom this week. It’s for her to use as a planter. She had mentioned that she wanted one and I told her I could make it for her. Work has been working for me in 2018. First year in a long time that I’ve felt successful at work. What’s not been working as well is my social life and friendships. A lot of changes, many that I wanted and some that I didn’t.

I’m proactive when it comes to making online connections, but not in person. It feels like I’m able to find more safe communities on the internet than I am in person, however, I also have been distancing myself from the website I usually frequent for 12 step meetings because it has become an increasingly unsafe environment for me.

Karen Haradem – I am Jennifer. Great to meet you! I have 4.5 years! I totally get the feeling of unsafe at the 12 step meeting. I was going up to 6 times a week to inperson meetings. I started attending less but not consciously aware of this and why I was doing it. When I was down to 1 meeting a week I realized why. There was too much negative…[Read more]
