Good intention! I am still grateful for you showing me Yoga with Adrienne. I allowed me to get comfortable and confident enough to try out some classes. Now I am doing a Kundalini yoga I really enjoy. Things are going really well for me right now. Playing lots of golf, meditating daily, doing yoga and hanging with my/ my ex’s dog all the time. I…[Read more]

Hi Chas. I don’t know you but i just wanted to say it sounds like you’re doing good work! Staying “in the moment” is no small task, so try not to be too hard on yourself. Have fun and celebrate your wins!
-
Chas, this all sounds great! I love yoga with Adrianne. Watching her videos is how I started to get comfortable with yoga too. It sounds like you’re on a good path. I agree with John, don’t be too hard on yourself.

Cool awareness Chas. Focusing more on connection to the present allows for less concern about future-tripping. Planning is okay. Planning can give direction. Letting go of the attachment to the plan is key. You so got this. You’ve made incredible strides since that first time we met. So proud of you!

I do have one feeling that I would like to throw out there about my growing as a person and working on becoming a bigger contributor to society. I had gotten into quite the rhythm of doing yoga at least five times a week. But things have changed and I am much busier than I was before. I am still doing lots of self work and meditation, volunteering…[Read more]

I think it’s important to stay conscious of your process. “Enough” was coming in while reading your post. Only you can say if you are doing enough. And is saying you are not doing enough a way to stay small and be of ego. The spiritual being is always enough so it must be that the ego/mind is creating mental chatter of not enough. I always like to…[Read more]

Today I am feeling pretty good, about life and myself. My goal this week was to speak up at one of the meetings that I attend, and so far I have not done this. I haven’t necessarily been to anxious to speak up, but rather found that I didn’t have any questions or comments that I felt relevant. I am okay with this because I don’t want to be someone…[Read more]

I think about sharing as a way to connect. I don’t really think about the relevancy of what I’m going to say. I stay in touch with what comes up for me and I share it when I get a nudge to share. For me, it’s more of an internal process then me being focused on the group.

The first leader I chose is Nelson Mandela. I choose him because of his determination and the conviction in his beliefs, despite being imprisoned for years. Martin Luther King for his ability to strive for change, while also remaining nonviolent. Even while extreme violence was thrust upon him and his followers. The third leader I chose was Dean…[Read more]

My 3 foot toss will be to engage myself during the discussions at my meditations and the following question and answer period. I am always just happy in the background just listening to others questions and the responses. I don’t feel comfortable being the center of attention. So it is my intention to make myself overcome this anxiety by writing…[Read more]

I just read this prompt, so I didn’t consciously smile more today. But looking back I did smile a lot because I too full advantage of my day off. I went and hit some golf balls today working on the things I learning Monday at my golf lesson. Then I went to a yoga class, which I have been pushing off. Thoroughly enjoyed it, like I knew I would but…[Read more]

I would love to do my meditation in the mornings. I now it’s an excuse but I just cant find the time to wake up early to meditate before work. I do work at a very early hour, so I am not beating myself up over it. But I do enjoy it on my days off. I find meditation and just taking a few deep breathes to be very helpful in my entire process.

I am going to be working on my living environment in a couple of different ways. First to organize my current living situation, although externally it looks fine. But my computer and paperwork could be organized much better to allow easier access and to get rid of things I no longer need. I am also in a position of looking to move to a place of my…[Read more]

I’m glad that you checked in because I also view some of the things that I am doing regularly as insignificant because they have become the norm now. It is helpful for you to point this out so I can try to stop judging myself for things I have not done and be more positive about the things I am doing. Thanks
-
Love this post because it indicates that what needs to be resolved is the judging and making things insignificant comes in. Practice just letting go when the need to judge or make things insignificant and then shift into gratitude for what you are doing. This process helps resolve the minds need to judge and make it mean something. Choose neutrality!
-
Glad it could help Chas. Thanks for that feedback! Like the “shift into gratitude” idea, Bev.

It’s been awhile since I’ve checked in, so I am a little out of the loop as far as the daily prompts. I have been helping a friend deal with their recovery process and as a result have let my own recovery take a backseat. I feel alright with this because before I would have just thrown myself into helping another and stopped caring for myself at…[Read more]
