Today’s prompt: Take a moment to slow down, breathe and recenter yourself. Could be at work, could be in the car, could be in your living environment.

I am learning to do this on a daily basis. I have scheduled a meditation time first thing when I get to my office – half hour of meditation, centering and getting myself spiritually set for the day. I try to do this first before I speak to anyone 🙂 Puts me in the right frame of mind. Now – I have to schedule time in the middle of the day to center and then of course some dedicated time before bed. I find this sets me up for great success. Without it I am so scattered and not focused. Thanks for the opportunity to share 🙂
Totally relate to starting with practice in the morning and seeing the benefits throughout the day. Also, love the idea of recentering throughout the day.
I would love to do my meditation in the mornings. I now it’s an excuse but I just cant find the time to wake up early to meditate before work. I do work at a very early hour, so I am not beating myself up over it. But I do enjoy it on my days off. I find meditation and just taking a few deep breathes to be very helpful in my entire process.
There’s a mantra that has been coming up every hypnotherapy session of the challenge that I’m participating in and I’ve found it very calming. It goes: “I’m safe, I’m calm, I chooose to be here“. “Choose“ was misspelled purposely because the hypnotherapist draws the word out. Anyway, I resonate with it so I’ve used it frequently in moments throughout the past week to reconnect with my inner calm. This morning, I was feeling the weight of the pressure of the parts of my “story” that I haven’t yet released or resolved combined with the stress of the expectations that I have on me over the next 3 or 4 days. So after a full night of work, in the last hour of the morning before I go to bed, as I was tired and noticing this pressure and how it was effecting my behavior, I briefly connected mentally with this mantra and with my breath, consciously. This just happened in a space of a few moments alone in the kitchen as I was helping get the kids ready for school… And now that I’m at work again, and I have some down time, I’ll be recentering myself frequently throughout the night with mindful breathing.
Love that mantra!! Going to print it off and stick it where I can see it at work!! Thank you for sharing!
So welcome! Glad it connects with you.
