Here’s the replay from our call. Thank you Wes! https://s3.amazonaws.com/recoverylifemanagement/RLL11.19.mp4
When you listen to the replay, think about your current life scene. What are the areas of importance to you right now. Think of no more then 11 things! Post your topics for us to see an know;)
Thanks for the prompt and invitation.
My 11 things are:
Contemplation- Spiritual Connection
Creative Expression
Health
Connection-The Triangle of Wellbeing-Relationships
Mindset-Brain Change
Core Identity – Curiosity
Heart Centered Service
Empowered Intention
Clearing-Forgiveness-Shadow work
Only 9 came forth and that makes sense for me. Don’t want to force the flow with what might not be there. These things really spark joy for me.
Love this list Tami
Go with what’s there and brings you joy!
Thanks for sharing the call. Such vulnerability and truth. I watched it once but will do it again.
Thanks for the call Bev. Feeling super vulnerable about what I shared and hoping I didn’t trigger anyone or otherwise cause anyone pain. Part of me feels like isolating because of what I shared but I recognize that as an old pattern that doesn’t serve me so I’ll come here instead and ask for support and forgiveness. My intention was only to answer honestly and not hide from the truth…
I did feel more expressive and less inhibited during our call so I’ll acknowledge that for myself. Also feel much more empowered about changing many of the habits or patterns or mechanisms that came up during the call and have been doing so successfully since Jan 2. These are 10 areas of focus that came up for me:
Relationship with wife
Relationship with extended family (parent’s, sister’s family)
Healthy coping with family and social situations
Radical Self acceptance
Non resistance
Connecting with purpose
Fearless expression
Replacing habits that don’t serve me
Healing
Upleveling my mental health recovery
You are loved and supported here and I’m happy to hear you are going to practice self-forgiveness, connection and change things that aren’t working for you. It’s important that we admit and be truthful with ourselves about how we are showing up. You don’t need to feel bad about it, you can empower yourself to do it differently. I freakin’ LOVE this list for you. It’s very thoughtful, intentional and feels like a stretch as it includes other people. I love the mixture of working on yourself and working on relationships with others. So good!
Thanks. I like the list too. Just having acknowledged and written these things out, I’m noticing different ways over the past few days that I’ve been honoring these intentions. Happy for the moment with where I’m at.
Thank you, Bev & Wes, for sharing your truth with all of us. It is very much appreciated by me and I could relate. I found myself wishing I was with you all around a campfire talking about it! For me right now, I am very much in a place where I’m trying to find a balance between being “super” spiritual and enjoying my life. So, when Bev was talking about her health goals and trying to find that balance…I so get it. Totally in that space as well.
My 11 things:
1. Mental Health: I plan to see a psychiatrist at some point in the near future to discuss medication. In the past, it hasn’t been recommended for me, with the exception of anxiety medication at one time, but I have also experienced thoughts of suicide much more than I feel comfortable with, so I feel an appointment is necessary.
2. My physical health – finding a new program to jump start my weight loss again, so I can continue my journey.
3. Mending my family relationships
4. Searching for a new job or at least exploring the possibility.
5. Finding more time for my creative side to express itself. Painting, music, writing, etc.
6. Finding a place within my community to volunteer and be involved in some small way.
7. Making more effort to connect with others offline
8. Spending the same amount of time daily on my recovery as I do on Facebook. Ha!
9. Making time to get to know someone different from me or someone that I tend to butt heads with on a regular basis (especially at work).
10. Consider attending a spiritual retreat
11. Start to dive into planning financially for the future.
