Starting this afternoon and for the next few days, it will be a great time to clear clutter physically or in your mind. Also a good time for clearing space and making room for what you want in 2019. My hope is that you see how intentional this growth process really is. You truly get what you put in! I’m going to be doing some cleaning this afternoon myself. My mom is in a surgery this morning and I will be headed to Atlanta tomorrow to help her for a few days when she gets out of the hospital. What are you up to as we slide into the new year?!

    • Sending prayers to your mama and all that she needs. I am also clearing right now. I did a hooponopono prayer ( Saturday intensive with the focus on this specific relationship) and it was surprise for me to see how healing the holiday was. I tend to want to concretize the good hoping that it doesn’t change back but all I can do is live in the now. My grandson wanted to hold my hand on the 7 hour drive to Illinois. My mother on the day she died, leaned over and told me that all she ever needed was someone to hold her hand. Such a simple act of love but so powerful. So clearing, self forgiveness, forgiveness and letting go are big movements right now for me. Ready for the new to come but the old has to go.

      • I’ve been practicing that same prayer too. It is so powerful! Great to hear you being intentional about being different within yourself. You truly hold the key to being at peace or not.

    • I cleaned and organized two closets last weekend. Got rid of some old drinking memorabilia and ex boyfriend stuff that I don’t want or need to hold onto anymore. Felt moments of sadness but overall lighter and renewed. Sometimes I think I struggle to let go of stuff when I don’t know what the next step I need to do is.

Prayers for you and your mama Bev. I’m dog sitting in the city for friends and enjoying the time by myself to really sit and get intentional for the new year. Was starting to feel a little lost toward the end of 2018 so now is a good time to reset and get back to practices that keep me feeling well mentally, spiritually and physically.

      • You are never too far from your path. Way to recommit to your practices that support you in feeling connected to Self. When you are connecting to yourself, you can allow your connection to something higher or greater. Lost sounds like disconnection from yourself and that’s a great warning sign for you that you have gone off-course from yourself. I hear you acknowledging this and getting back on course. Look at how quickly you are catching yourself. Huge win!

    • So much decluttering I need to do. Went to the library with my family today with no intentions of borrowing any books (on account of the gazillion unread books I have on my shelf and my kindle) and, after having read this post earlier, decided to sign out a book on decluttering after stumbling across it while killing time browsing… we’ll see what comes of it.

    • I have been getting some much needed rest and relaxation, as well as honoring my commitment to my doctor and dentist appts. Since I work for the school district, I have two weeks off work during this time, so it’s the time for me to have my annual checkups. My husband and I are going to Austin on Monday and will stay for a few days, so I’m excited about it. Austin is beautiful. Lots of great outdoor spaces and trails. Hoping to walk up Mount Bonnell and watch the sunrise on New Year’s morning.
