I’m going to have to sit with this for a minute. Thanks for the prompt, I want to set a solid intention for August.

I am going back to work next week for the upcoming school year. My intention is to be open to the opportunities that are presented to me, by actively participating in activities offered by the district, as well as opportunities to collaborate with my coworkers and get to know them better. I intend to say yes to at least two invitations a month. I get a lot of them, and say no to most of them! Two things happened to me last week that changed my attitude about my job. I got a letter from the district stating that I was at the salary cap and would not be getting a raise this year, but a small compensation instead. Three days later, I got a call from HR that it was a mistake, I was not at the cap, and I would be getting a raise after all. So, I feel like this is the universe telling me to take these second chances that are being presented to me to get involved more at work and in our community.
