My dogs bring me SO much joy. I can hardly remember what life was like without them.

Lovely, I’ve been working on dropping expectations and being with what is.

  • What brings you joy?

  • I’m really excited about the posts I have read. My intention behind The Lab has been to create a conscious community for people intending to move beyond the struggle of substances and life and step into more meaning and contribution in their life. Therefore, I help people work with what’s coming up for them so that they can use every experience…[Read more]

Delina, you bring up such a great point. I relate so much. Personally, It took me about 6 months into my recovery before I could even allow myself to feel my feelings and even consider more meaning and purpose in my life. I found the first 2 years to such an important deep dive for myself. I acknowledge you for raising your hand to be here so that…[Read more]

You are surrounded here by people are looking at themselves, talking about what they are finding and actively working on adjusting to be their best Self. You are on such a…[Read more]

Spiritual awakening, YES! And all about the growing, evolving and living on purpose. You are so in the right place!

  • Feeling really grateful today for my family. We don’t have a normal family. In fact, it’s quite dysfucntional among my family members but I have great relationships with everyone and I attribute that to my sobriety and personal growth. How does your personal growth journey impact those around you?

  • My husband and I witnessed a domestic violence situation today that my husband broke up by honking his horn and calling the cops. I immediately felt the fight or flight response in my body. Witnessing something like that is really triggering for me since many of you know I great up in a d.v. situation with my parents. I know this is a safe place…[Read more]

That’s the big shift, viewing the reward of the process over the fear of self-judgment around failure. It’s truly about asking yourself, “What am I most committed to?”

  • Bev Sartain posted a new activity comment 7 years, 5 months ago

One of my favorite paradigms is that there’s no such thing as failure, only feedback. This changes how we look at it. We have to be willing to have the reward of the process, of learning and growing. If we remain afraid of the judgment then we stay stuck. You know how to work with the thoughts now, practicing neutrality, self-forgiveness,…[Read more]

    • Yeah even as I was typing that, I thought to myself the “failures” are just opportunities to learn. I’m going to post that paradigm somewhere I can see it everyday. I do now appreciate the reward of the process more so than before.

How might your life look different if you trusted and let go more?

    • What comes to mind is bigger risk, bigger reward. Like there would be failures but also successes & joyful moments that right now I’m keeping out by trying to avoid the risks & pain. I know I’m definitely doing this in the area of relationships. Yikes…ok going to crack this heart open again…Time to uplevel.
