This is amazing. I honor you for moving through your grief, opening your heart and being of service in this way. It’s always for us as well! Jane, I love hearing your process and experiencing your growth. You have such a beautiful heart. Richard and I are working towards having a rescue one day (prob in the next 5 years). We’ve discussed starting…[Read more]

I love it! The level we struggle with this most is where the big breakthroughs lie. Acknowledging you for staying the course with your learnings and being open to the physical level. Look at you now! The physical level is teaching you so much and you are even calling it a strength. Amazing!

Thank you both! Speaking of equanimity, I felt a little resistance (the opposite of equanimity?) to answering your question about being more specific about the direction I was heading physically, which I was kind of vague about in the post above. Ultimately, I decided in that moment to express what was true for me and that was that I was…[Read more]

Doing well! I adopted a dog this past weekend. Stevie. I had seen him get rehomed twice before through a local rescue I follow and unfortunately he was given up again. He has special needs, kind of like doggie cerebral palsy and my house is perfect for him. I went through all kinds of emotions, grieving the dog I lost last year and doubting…[Read more]

Thank you Bev. I really experienced it differently this time. Like this was the first time I consciously went through the process of Ok what am I feeling, what is this bumping into, and allowing it all. I went through grief, guilt, and it was so hard. But I feel so much lighter now and clearer than if I had tried to stuff it, numb it, and…[Read more]

I find going through life experiences consciously so freeing. Yes, we feel it all but there is so much grace in the learning. I just went to the FB page and liked it. I’ve been wanting to learn more about how a non-profit is run. This is kind of my big Passion Project that is unfolding over the years. Staring with one dog to now 3, considering…[Read more]

How are you and your new friend doing?!

Good! He’s made himself right at home, and I am feeling much less emotional than last week. He’s sweet and goofy and he helps me remember to look for the learning in a lot of situations. Taking him to his first appointment with the vet tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to any advice she has on his condition and making sure he has everything he…[Read more]

So I woke up to WAY more notifications on FB then I would normally have but didn’t take me long to go through them. I’m proving to myself that I don’t have to be so responsive to people. In fact, I don’t really want to be. I want to be responsive to myself. I reworking how I want more work week to look. Even considering taking an extra day off to…[Read more]

I love how in tune you are with yourself. You really do listen to yourself. Also enjoy hearing you be aware of yourself. The timer is a great idea for down time. Great strategy and thanks for sharing that. I also give myself timeframes. I’ve been feeling into downtime more since we’ve discussed it and am using it more often which feels good. We…[Read more]

Today I decided to take the FB and Messenger app off my phone for at least until the end of April! How are you making room for more downtime?
-
I had a mini anxiety breakdown a couple of months ago and deleted a ton of apps from my phone including fb, instagram, and email. It was amaaazing how much more peaceful I felt after. I would intentionally check fb at night only and emails only on my computer. It freed up a lot of time for reading and connection.. Then I slowly added them back…[Read more]

Down time. I do as Jane – combine the 2. I sit at my computer while I watch TV at night. I miss pieces of the show. I make a few mistakes on the computer. Then I beat myself up because I know I would have been more productive if I just turn off the tv. I need to schedule some real down time…..
-
Jennifer I’ve been using a timer on my phone, an hour of work without distraction and then 30 minutes of guilt free downtime with no distraction. Whether that’s watching a show, playing a game, or reading or whatever. That seems to help a lot. How’s it going for you?

I’m being more mindful of downtime and not making myself wrong b/c of it.

After our call, I went outside for some “downtime.” I sat outside and then noticed a story of I need to work on my live presentation tomorrow. As that thought came in I let that thought go and reconnected to just being. I realized that we are in a state of making ourselves wrong or loving ourselves at all times. What are you choosing?
-
That’s a great point, either way we can choose loving ourselves over judging ourselves.
I happened to have an article in my email last night about masculine and feminine energy and crystals, and it was talking about how masculine energy is the energy of producing and going and doing and feminine energy is the energy of being, of self-love,…[Read more]

I just got cholesterol results back and my numbers went up. Not quite as high as they were a few years back but not where I want them to be. I’ve upped my exercise but let go of my nutrition a bit. My husband and I put together a meal plan that we are committed to for the next month and then we will re-evaluate. I did sign up for a cleanse that is…[Read more]
